Day - 1

Arrive Beijing

On arrival at Beijing Airport, meet your local representative/ tour manager and proceed to your hotel. Remainder of day is at leisure. (Check in time is after 15:00 hrs). In the evening enjoy an Indian dinner. Note: Transfers to hotel are available all day, mode of transportation could be either a coach/ minivan along with other passengers from the group. If your flight arrives after 16:30hrs local time, then dinner will not be provided.

Day - 2

Beijing

Today we visit Tiananmen Square which is known to be one of the largest public squares in the world, bordered by the Qianmen Gate, the Great Hall of the People and Theatre of Heavenly Peace. Later visit the Forbidden City to see the courtyards, palaces and pavilions. In the afternoon, continue to Lama Temple, which combines styles of Manchurian, Chinese, Tibetan, and Mongolian architecture. Everywhere you turn, expansive details and bold patterns can be found to tease and tantalize the senses.

Day - 3

Beijing

In the morning visit the Jade Factory for shopping before departing for a tour of the Great Wall of China. This 6,400 kilometre long wall is a symbol of China's ancient civilisation and ranks among the greatest ancient monuments in history. Later visit some of the modern sights that Beijing has to offer; view the iconic Olympic buildings, take photos with the National Aquatics Centre (Water Cube), and the National Stadium, known as the Bird's Nest.

Day - 4

Beijing

Today visit the Summer Palace which is a vast group of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing. The Summer Palace is mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake. Later visit the Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshiped heaven and prayed for good harvests. Before lunch visit the Factory. Here you may purchase gifts; jeans, jackets, bags and souvenirs for families and friends. Also visit the Yashow Market also known as the "Yaxiu Market". This evening enjoy a wonderful acrobatic show which promises to dazzle and entertain.

Day - 5

Beijing - Xian

Today check out and proceed to Xian via a superfast train. On arrival visit the Wild Goose Pagoda which is a Buddhist pagoda, built in 652 AD by the Tang Dynasty. Also visit the Bell Tower Square which is in the heart of this bustling city.

Day - 6

Xian

Today enjoy a full day tour of the Terracotta Warriors - the tomb of the First Emperor of China and a UNESCO site. See more than 6000 moulded soldiers, officers, horses and wagons of this famed legendary army which were buried together with the Emperor 2,200 years ago and discovered only in 1974.

Day - 7

Xian - Chengdu

In the morning fly to Chengdu. Upon arrival, transfer for lunch and then later to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Kanzhai xiangzi street & Jin Li street. Kuan Zhai Xiang Zi in Chinese literally means "Wide and Narrow Alleys". Here enjoy free time to explore the charm of these streets.

Day - 8

Chengdu

Begin by visiting the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. This 540 hectare park is a truly splendid way to see the panda in its natural habitat. In the afternoon take a short boat ride to see the Leshan Buddha - the largest stone Buddha in the world, known as "Dafo" by the Chinese, which is carved on the side of the hill, where he sits tall 71 meters high overlooking the river. It took more than 90 years to carve, and is now one of UNESCO world heritage site.

Day - 9

Chengdu - Chongqing - Yangtze River Cruise

Morning at leisure in Chengdu. In the afternoon, transfer to take a 2nd class high speed train from Chengdu to to Chongquing. Upon arrival, we proceed to the pier to embark on your wonderful Yangtze River Cruise.

Day - 10

Chongqing - Yangtze River Cruise

Depart from Chongqing in the morning. Visit Fengdu (optional) the City of Ghosts on the Ming Hill. You may climb the winding cobblestone road or take a cable car to reach the 288 meter-high Ming Hill. Later, have an enjoyable time at the Captain's Welcome Party, as your ship anchors at Wanxian for an overnight stop. (Please note that the first shore excursion of the cruise may occur either at Fengdu, Shibaozhai or Wanzhou, dependent on local river conditions).

Day - 11

Yangtze River Cruise

Today sail pass the Three Little Gorges. The magnificent Qutang Gorge extends 8 km and leads us to the splendour of Wu Gage. Disembark for an excursion through Daning River Lesser Three Gorges. Sail into the west section of the third gorge of the Yangtze River - the Xiling Gorge, the longest of the Yangtze gorges, after which the ships passes through the 5 stage ship lock. As you pass through the gorge, the river varies from 200 metres wide at is broadest to just 10 metres. The thundering waters and towering crags makes a breathtaking sight.

Day - 12

Three Gorges Dam - Yichang - Shanghai

After breakfast on board the cruise, enjoy a shore excursion of the Three Gorges Dam, the largest project of its kind in the world. The dam is 1,983 metres long and 185 meters high. Its construction involves the relocation of 13 cities, 140 towns and 1.3 million people and the enormity of the project is quite staggering. Later we sail to the port of Yichang, on arrival disembark and drive to the airport for the flight to Shanghai.

Day - 13

Shanghai

This morning, visit the famous Buddhism shrine, Jade Buddha Temple, located in the bustling city of Shanghai. It is named for its two bejewelled white jade Buddha. Carved from a whole piece of white jade, the sitting jade Buddha statue is translucent with a solemn expression, displaying the excellent skill and extraordinary art of the Chinese people. Later, visit the Yuyuan Garden which has many scenic courtyards decorated with baroque rockery, pools, and flora that are all connected by corridors and passageways.

Day - 14

Shanghai

Today you will visit Zhujiajiao, located in a suburb of Shanghai city. Zhujiajiao is an ancient water town well-known throughout the country, with a history of more than 1,700 years. Covering an area of 47 square kilometres, the little fan-shaped town glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains. Endowed with another elegant name - 'Pearl Stream' - the little town is the best-preserved among the four ancient towns in Shanghai. Later drive back to Shanghai for shopping at The Bund, Nanjing Road and TV Tower, which was completed on October 1, 1994. The TV Tower has a height of 468 meters, which multi-functions as a sightseeing attraction, dining opportunities, shopping, amusement and accommodations. This tower has become the symbol of the city and a popular tourist attraction in Shanghai.

Day - 15

Shanghai - Flight Out

After breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport for your return flight home. Check out time is 11:00 hrs. Depending on your return flight timing, you will be transferred to the airport, the mode of transportation could be either coach/ minivan along with your other passengers from the group. Please note that late check-out is not guaranteed and it is advisable to opt for an early morning flight.
